Hannah: Identifying Body Parts & Crib Climbing

I kept trying to get a picture or video of Hannah today saying "eye," which sounds more like "ahhhh," and pointing to her doll's eye, but she was distracted by the time I got the camera. Oh well. She can show you where some body parts are, including: eyes, nose, ears, hair, toes, leg, feet, and cheeks.

Yesterday, Grandma Sylvia was down visiting since school was out for MLK day. After I had put Hannah down for a nap and walked down stairs to where Sylvia and Heidi were in the formal living room, where they were playing with trains, I heard a THUD. It scared me and I knew exactly what it had to be. Hannah had climbed out of her crib and fell on the ground. She didn't seem to have any bruises, but she did have a rug mark and a red spot on her forehead... and she was pretty upset. Her matress is down pretty low, too! If we move it any lower, it will be really close to the ground, which is where it goes when it turns into a toddler bed. It may be harder to get her in and out reaching that low (because Brian made the crib & the sides don't lower), but I don't want her getting hurt from climbing out either. Little Hannah is growing up and learning how to do more for herself, I guess.... and I guess she just wanted out. It's hard to believe that tomorrow she will already be 11 months old.

Wow, I can't believe she can do all those things already...

I know! Cheyenne doesn't even try to get out of her crib... when it is nap time she just lays down and goes to sleep and when she wakes up she yells for me to come get her... haha, but our house is much smaller than yours so I can always easily hear when she is awake...
