Heidi went trick-or-treating as Cinderella this year with the Vaughn kids. Above are some pictures that Jenny took. I have a lot more pictures (that I've been taking since we left Fort Hood), but can't download them onto a computer... We're going to wait until we have a home someday, I guess.
Heidi's costume was a little big in the shoulders, but she can grow into it. You can see the Vaughn kids and some of the other neighborhood kids in these pictures. Heidi had fun that night. She got a little scared when she saw some scary masks (on people who were handing out candy).
Today, Heidi was eating a lollipop that had some bubble gum in the middle. She hadn't ever had bubble gum before, so I told her (when she bit into the gum part) that it was not a kind of candy that she could eat and swallow, but that it was bubble gum... and you can't swallow bubble gum. You just have to keep chewing it and then throw it in the trash when you are finished, but she didn't seem to get it. I knew she had swallowed it after a few chews and I asked her if she swallowed it:
Mom: Did you swallow the bubble gum?
Heidi: No.
Mom: Is it still in your mouth then?
Heidi: No.
She had swallowed it... Oh well... I might just have to wait a while to give her bubble gum (since she doesn't seem to understand yet how it works).
