Yesterday, I had my top wisdom teeth taken out. I had my bottom wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago, and this time was a LOT better of an experience than the last time!
They gave me an IV and put me to sleep (because I'm a wimp), and I don't even remember getting into the car to go home afterwards. I had a really hard time waking up. I went home and went to bed. They gave me a prescription for some vicodin (for pain) and motrin (for swelling/pain), but I have only taken the motrin because I haven't been in any pain, really. Just a little achiness and discomfort. When I came home from my visit with the oral surgeon, I just went to bed because I was having a hard time staying awake and was a little nautious for most of the day/evening afterwards. I remember Heidi came in to my room after I had been in there for probably a couple of hours. She was saying "Mommy, come play with me." She brought me her Mr. Potato Head, who had two left arms and a bunch of other silly parts. She left him with me and said "This is for you Momma... You're sick." She also told me she loved me. She is such a sweet little girl sometimes.
Today, I took a motrin when I woke up and I am really feeling pretty well. Having my top wisdom teeth is no where near as bad as the time I had the bottom ones taken out. I was in a lot of pain with them and had to go back for the next week to have a really discusting, clove-flavored packing put into the hole because I had a dry socket.
Anyway, I am glad it is all over with. :)
