Today, Heidi read her first book out loud to me. I bought the first set of BOB books a long time ago (maybe when Heidi was about 1 1/2 years old or so), but I thought I might get them out and look at them today. The first book seemed pretty simple, so I made a list of the words in the book (plus a few extras that rhymed with some of the words) and we sounded them out together. Then, I gave her the first book. She was able to read it!

Page 1 - Mat.
Page 2 - Mat sat.
Page 3 - Sam.
Page 4 - Sam sat.
Page 5 - Mat sat. Sam sat.
Page 6 - Mat sat on Sam. (We laughed at this part because Sam looks sad.)
Page 7 - Sam sat on Mat. (We laughed here, too.)
Page 8 - Mat sat. Sam sat.

Its in the genes, she will be very smart....our first son did that also, then we had the twins.....
